Has anyone had difficulty staying on to the internet with Blueyonder over the last few days? I could usually get on but would be disconnected somewhere between one and 10 minutes. It has suddenly righted itself today but I'm wondering what happened. Has this happened to anyone else? Lilian |

It could be a Blueyonder thing but have you done an anti-spyware scan lately? An overload of spyware/adware on your PC could cause this type of problem..... Judy :) |

Some times it is a problem with the conection but they tell you to disconnect from the computer for 50 sec then plug it back in then it should work other wise I have never had a problem with blueyonder broad band at all |

Dear Judy, Louise and Val, Many thanks for your replies. Yes, Judy, I check for spyware most days. Louise, I contacted Broadband but they said everything was OK from their end. Val, I tried plugging and unplugging and that didn't help. It is working OK now but I've no idea how or why. I just wondered if anyone else has had the same problem. Thanks for your advice. Best wishes, Lilian |

Lilian. If you are on Blueyonder Broadband you will be connected either by a separate cable modem or by the modem inside your TV set-top box. If resetting the box/modem doesn't cure it, when you lose the connection see if there is an led flashing on either. This indicates that you are not receiving data from the neighbourhood distribution unit. If you have interactive TV this will also be down at the same time(the games/ shopping bits, not the TV). If this is the problem you can't do anything on your PC. They need to fix the poor connection or put you on a new channel (five minute job). I had this problem. They don't like admitting the problem is on 'their' side. Saying things are OK at 'their end' is not good enough! it's your end that matters. They do have the equipment to test these things. Bob |

Hi Lilian, I have Blueyonder broadband and mine has also done this on a few occasions. Me and the kids have noticed it usually happens if it's bad weather ie thundering. Never happens in the summer. Probably not connected with the weather may just be a coincidence. Sue xx |

Dear Robert, Sue and Simone, Aplogies for not replying sooner but I can't get online at all now. I'm sending this from my local library. Thank you all for your replies. I will have to ring Blueyonder again to have a moan about it. Simone, where do you live? I'm in Liverpool. If I don't get back to you quickly, it's because my computer won't let me! Thanks again for your suggestions. Best wishes, Lilian |
