I notice all topic originator names are in blue text and larger fonts than mine (black) am i doing anything wrong or is there a way of changing it |

It's just done to highlight your own threads. Your contributions look perfectly normal to us. For one thing, things in blue are links, things in black aren't (you cannot contact yourself) |
