how do i find out who someones mother is when they are a single parent with obviously the same name. so the is no marriage i can look up. if that makes sense at all. vicki |

If I'm reading your question correctly, couldn't you order the birth certificate of the mother? Mandy :) |

hi love, go and order a birth certifiate. it should give the name of the mother at least and where she/he was born. Depending what years you are talking about, go to the local Registars Office and ask for a birth certificate for the person concerned and the date. Hope thats of help to oyou. TED. |

Birth Jun 1914 Agg Thomas V Mother's maiden name - Agg Hackney 1b 869 so how do i find out who she is? |

send for his birth cert. will give her name, then see if she can be found on the 1901 census. I recognise AGG - havent we looked before? Charwoman or something? maybe wrong |

Sorry but unless you can find another way,i think most will agree ,is to order the birth cert of the child.,this as Ted has said will give you the name of the mother,even if she is a single woman,but wont give her age, kay. |
