Does anyone know where I can get a copy of ANCESTOR MAGAZINE for December 2004? I recently saw a piece on a website that mentioned an article about the 'Piners of Hedgerley' being in this particular issue. I am a descendant of the Piner family and I have traced them back to c.1700 in and around Hedgerley & Burnham in Buckinghamshire so I am very interested in this article ! Any info would be grately appreciated. Many thanks Annette |

Hi, I googled for it and got the following addy for back issues: http://www(.)ancestorsmagazine(.)co(.)uk/back_issues.php Remove the brackets before you enter it. BTW have you tried googling your Piner surname? Lots of refs for it. |

Hi Heather, Thanks ! I have worked out which issue it should be but it doesn't list every article in the mag so I will have to take pot luck with it ! I googled the name a couple of months ago and got quite a lot of interesting info including a criminal!!!!!!!!! Thanks again Annette |

Probably impractical for you, but they have back issues for sale at both the FRC and Kew bookshops. nell |

Annette, surely you can email them and ask what issue the article was in? |

Annette I agree with Heather try mailing them and ask about it, you never know yo may stike gold. I recently put a plea for living rellies in an Irish paper ( actually worked too got 3 replies :-) ) But i wanted a copy fro my records, so being the cheeky me I called them and asked for one. I was willing to pay but she never mentioned the cost so neither did I LOL Got a copy in post two days later. I doubt the magazine will do that, but they may have it on file and be prepared to send you a photocopy, after all it is only the one article you want. If you don't try you'll never know. Shelli |

Annette, I have just looked right through the December 04 issue of Ancestors and this article about the Piners of Hedgerley is not in that issue. However I remember seeing the article fairly recently, so if you can wait a couple of days I will look through my Ancestor Mags to see which one this article is in and get back to you. Janet |

Thanks Janet I would appreciate that. I can't find the site where I read about the article and it was only a snippet of info. I'm not entirely sure if this is the correct mag but I can't think what other one it would have been referring to. Annette |
