If the business was already well known and with a good reputation it sometimes makes sense to keep things as they are. My cousin's own florist shop still trades under the name of a previous owner although she bought the business many years ago.

Maybe he wanted to keep business away from home life? I'd look under both names, just to be sure.

can anyone tell me my relative was born with the surname styler on his marriage cert and also his childrens names but he ran a business under his mother married name baylis, i can not find his death under styler so do you think it could be registared under baylis does this make sence as in going potty !!!!!!!!!
