Where would i go out for searching for a person born in the Channel Isles? Apart from the local registar in the location in question? Also about census returns for these islands too, which ones are available? Thanks Steve |

1871-1901 are available on Ancestry. Not sure about BMDs though. |

In my expewrience with Channel Islands there is nothing online unless your ancestor has made it to a Googled site or the LDS. Other than that there are seperate registrars for Guernsey (with some of Alderney and Sark) and Jersey. Alderney and Sark you can also write to the Custodians though Alderney in particular may be missing information from the years when the Germans occupied the island. |
