Does anyone have any idea if someone living in Pertenhall, Beds., might have described themselves as being from 'Huntingdonshire' in 1839? I am trying to find the birth of my GG grandmother Hannah Lawson - I have been trying on FreeBMD and 1837 for weeks with no success - but have just found a Hannah Lawson, with a father James - which is correct on LDS, but showing as Pertenhall, Beds - the dates appear to be pretty accurate. Am open to suggestions - anyone?? |

Hi Penny - don't suppose you have the 1851 census do you? And if you do, could I be incredibly cheeky and ask if you would have a look for Hannah and her father James on it? Trudy |

Pertenhall is in Bedfordshire just across the border with Huntingdonshire - nearest town Kimbolton, Hunts, less than 2 miles away. Lots of people born in small places around Kimbolton gravitated to there from both Beds and Northants. |
