Hi Maria Could she have stretched her name for the census? There is an Ellen Hall on the same page as a Josiah Pearson Belper 1890 Dec qtr 7b 1117. Vivienne Hello Carol in Glorious Somerset, Nice to know I'm not the only nut still up in this lovely county.

If you are sure its the right one and you want the marriage certificate, you only need one full name to apply.

Hi There, I was trying to find the marriage of Josiah pearson and Eleanor ? He was born in Bedale in 1869 but moved to west derby between 1891 and 1901, he was a ladies taylor. I've got him on all the census though. I've checked out free bmd too and It's the same on there too, there's a record with just a Josiah Pearson on it and no wife. Maria :)

Hello Maria What page is it you are looking at? First you get a list of matches, then the page with only the name you searched for. At the bottom of this page is a number and an instruction to click to see others on page. If you tell us who it is you are looking for maybe we can help further. Vivienne

If it's pre 1911, look on freebmd instead as that is supposed to be slightly more up to date. Either the other entries have yet to be transcribed, or the spouse has not been indexed, or one spouse's details have been mistranscribed.

When searching for a marriage on ancestry and you find the name matching the one you have been looking for. The search only comes up with one name on the page... how do you find out who else is on the page? any ideas ? Maria :)
