I rather prefer to be anonymous! If info of mine is on a website, I'd like notes, sources, the whole caboodle. I appreciate that once information has been passed on I have no further control over it, but am slightly concerned that has all been accepted as gospel, with no evidence that anything has been checked. As I have heard nothing from my correspondent since I passed on the file, it would be interesting to know whether any queries would come back to me. |

I put one of my more unusual names into Google and was delighted to find a match. It was actually my ancestor. It was, in fact, actually my work. While I don't mind my gedcom file being on the web, unacknowledged, it would have been nice to have seen some evidence that my work had been checked! |
