1800 Farm Land lease / rent where are records kept

Land tax records should survive from this period. They would show both the owner and the occupier of the land. The property may not be named in 1800, but if you follow the records forward (the tax is collected on an annual basis and survival tends to be good) you will reach a period when the properties are named. Even if the properties change hands, the tax tends to be the same amount each year and the properties are listed in the same order. Land tax records should be in the county records office. Manorial records, if they survive, may also show land transfers and rentals, but these may be scattered around the country, or in private hands. You could also try A2A website just to see what you can find.

Hi i am trying to find detail about a member off my Familytree Thomas Hextall of Medbourne Leic. He left a Will proved in London 1825 that States he rented Two Farms & Land one in Medbourne Leic and the other in Nailstone of the same County from a Charles Nevill Esq of Holt Leic. Where will i find Records of these. I wish to know the farms names and dates of when and how long his family farmed there
