My pleasure Karen! Most of my rellies are from East Yorks but the odd one or two did venture off to North and West Yorks. The East Yorkshire Records Office is only 10 minutes down the road from me so it would be no trouble. I'm hoping to go in the next couple of weeks or so cos there are two other ladies on here I have promised look ups for.

Gosh Jeanette. What a brave thing to offer !! LOL That is very kind of you. My geography of England is pretty bad, but I am getting used to Yorkshire now. The rellies travelled about a fair bit......... East north & west I think. I might take you up on that offer at some stage. Thanks very much. Karen

Hi Karen I suppose it would be possible that it was the same person even with the occupation changes. You can't always be sure what happened in a persons life that would change their circumstances. I would just start with your husband and work back methodically as you would normally, but bear in mind this snippet of info as you go. You can then point out to your mother-in-law which bits are fact and which are fiction. By the way, I'm having a meet up with one of my Bradys next week. I'll ask him if he knows of any other Brady families in the area. Jeanette x

I am just starting to research my husband's family (FAGG). His mother gave me some info which I just don't know whether to believe. See below.
