Thanks to everyone who replied will start looking as suggested. Had already tried Cyndi's list to no avail. trouble is I dont know whereabouts in Canada I need to look

I agree with Bernice. My father was Canadian too, and his ancestors emigrated from Scotland in 1821. I posted on the Genforums boards and got this info. Try posting on the Canada board, the surname board, or the Canadian province board (if you know the area they emigrated to). I think there is also a board for immigration queries too. I found a fourth cousin and a fourth cousin by marrige once removed in Canada from my postings on Genforum. Would most appreciate any tips anyone can give me in finding relatives who emmigrated to Canada in early part of 20th Century. Have tried various links to no avail. Thanks
