I joined as a lot of my rellies were in the east end but cant say they have been very helpful it took 2 months before I even got the membership as they kept saying it had been or was going to be sent, but then maybe I have been unlucky The books are quite good though plenty of info stories and photos well worth a read

I havent joined although my lot were East Enders - mainly cos I already belong to others and cost is an issue! But I would have thought it would be worth joining if you have a lot more researching to do in that area. Usually people at FHS will do a few odd look ups locally for you which may be handy.

Hi I was wondering if anyone had subscribed to the The East End of London Family History Society (EoLFHS). www.eolfhs.org.uk ? If so, is it a helpful resource? The majority of my ancestors are from the East End of London with only a few exceptions, and I am so intrigued to find out more about my ancestors. Thanks Regards Angela
