I have come to a brick wall in my research I have tried and tried to overcome it but alas it still remains. I have managed to trace the Dodds side of my family back to around 1800 when a David Dodds was born, I do not know where. He married a Helen Lockie in 1824 Traquair, Peebles they then moved onto Stow where they feature on the 1841 census, by the time it got to 1851 Helen was shown as being supported by the Parish as her husband had deserted her. I can find no record of David anywhere. Can anyone help me? Ruth |
