Gail There's no name index for the 51 Lancashire. As there are no guarantees that his father would have been in Weaste in 1851, it would mean searching 1000's of pages (a lot of which are very decayed and almost unreadable) in the hope of finding the right person Lou |

Gail Can I advise that you get his birth cert then you will know his mother's name too. Sorry I can't help further as I don't have 1851 census. Lyn |

Please help! My G.G. Grandfather was James Blears born 1861 in Weaste in Salford, I am unable to find details of his Father George Blears. ( shown as deceased on James' marriage cert in 1884) Would some-one have a look for me please. He was a painter by trade.I have no other info, eg wife's name or any siblings James may have had.
