I used to go to London from Norwich, and spend time in the Club 100? and similar places.
Oh the memories.... was young free and single then, and slim!

Gwen, my brother worked at an hotel, a Trust House place, at Box Hill when he was training to be a chef, would have been in the late sixties, just think we could have been sisters in law lol if you had met him instead.
He wouldn't have been the greatest catch tho lol

You hear a lot of sixties music today but when I was a teenager in the sixties you didn't hear much twenties music.

I remember those times with great nostaligia, I left school in the early sixties and had a great time - not extreme as I had a protective mother but once I left home ..... lol

As I quoted from a Mary Hopkins song of those times, Those were the days, my friend, we thought they'd never end....

They say the swinging 60s, Its true or is it can you remember mods and rockers, all the fights in the seaside towns. I was not a mod but i had a scooter only because that was all i could aford at the time. so there was my mate and i took a trip to brighton, boy did we get it. just sitting by the bike and about twenty rockers came after us, the last i ever saw my scooter was doing a belly flop off the end of the pier. we were black and blue as we started our long walk home. it was 36 miles not one lift and it took us all of saturday night and part of sunday morning before i walked in my house and fell on my bed in a deep sleep. i looked like hell when i woke up but it was monday and that was back to work. i never went back to brigton again and that was 40 years ago.
