Yes he does and yes i do.

I should have added another important ingredient. space, we give each other space, don't live in each others pockets. He plays golf, i go for a walk on my own, he is on his PC and I am on mine, we are in separate rooms across the landing!!! But we spend time together too. From Sunday we will be together 24/7 for 4 weeks as we are on holiday. we rarely fall out though.

Oh Ann - that is so lovely.

I hope he knows how you feel!! I'm sure he does but do you tell him often?

Just trying to picture a rousing song sung in a quiet ladylike voice!! Hmm!!

How have we managed 48 years? Now there is a question (Better ask Bob and Jean too).

With patience, tolerance, a sense of humour, communication, laughter and lots of love and hugs!!

And some tongue biting and teeth gritting and never ever going to bed angry with each other.

At our wedding one thing I remember the minister saying is "Don't think married life is all moonlight and roses" He was right there always have to be clouds to get the silver lining, no rainbows without showers. but I can honestly say i would do it all again with the same lovely man. Love him to bits.
