If I remember rightly it was a white fat.

I use White Flora half and half with either sunflower margarine or Clover for my pastry and that works very well. I think White Flora is similar.
I did win second prize at the village Harvest supper with my apple pie LOL so not much wrong with my pastry.

Bought some on Friday last at Morrison's Maz - it's a combination I think of lard and marg. and does make the most wonderful shortcrust pastry!!

I'll be using mine tomorrow, together with some apple puree (and possibly mincemeat, cos it's almost Christmas - lol)

... and it makes the most beautiful pastry. Haven't bought it for a while, but the last time I bought it, it was in Waitrose.

I have some of mum's recipes and I was looking at one today and the first ingredient was Trex - I am assuming it is/was some sort of marge/fat - can anyone confirm that for me please and tell me what the 2008 equivalent is?!
Thanks, Maz. XX
