Hi everyone Marie here, What a loud lot you are and all so Happy good for you. I am rather worn out the girls have been sick again. I went to a reunion of our quartet on friday night we went to the Tai Restaurant had a lovely meal and lots of catching up we were a bit noisy as well.
Sallie I am pleased to hear your Daughter is ok and they are looking out for her at the hospital.
Jean I will send you my E-mail addy but not to-night as I must get to bed as I walked with my friends for an hour this morning and then gardened for the rest of the day so I am pooped

Sallie that is good news about your friend,all our prayers have been answered.

Hi Ladies,

Well Richard and Christie have gone back, the house feels empty without them. Jennie and Michael have been here quite a lot of the time as well, so it is very quiet again, now that they have all gone home.

Jean, yes I am the same Sallie that have started scrap booking. I started last year when my brother was Ordained. It was the first scrapbook I've made. I was pleased with my first attempt. I've been getting along with the family history one I'm doing, but have got to the stage where I just can't think what else to do. I would be grateful if you could send me some of the photos you have taken. Hopefully, they will give me a few ideas.

Marilyn, I could hear you all laughing up here in Derbyshire -- said to Alun, 'it must be Marilyn in Devon and her friends enjoying their reunion'. Really glad that you had a good time.

It's going to be very quiet here over the the weekend, nothing exciting happening.

My friend had the all clear, today. So we are all chuffed to bits here.
She has to go back to for a check up in 3 months time, but at least she now knows she doesn't have to have any treatment.

Hi girls.
Oh Jean,I have only got one more route to try,to get my photo sent out. I have got to go and see my son tommorrow,he is my last hope. My three girls cannot help me. The only other option I have got,is to mail it to you,and Marilyn.
Guess what,my son has just rung,he is going to do it for me tommorrow.
My god how spooky is that.
Well Marilyn,it was you lot down in Devon ,we could hear up here in Kent,
making all that noise last night.
I am glad you had a good time though.
We had a school reunion,25 years after we left school. I could not believe how much everyone had changed. I am afraid to ask if we would have another one now,as I don't know how many of the original crowd are still
alive.
I know that we lost one,a few years after the reunion. Another of us has altzeimers. It's so frightening,when I think she is the same age as me.
And I have lost contact with the others,over the years.
You will have a lovely time with the children tonight,I am sure. They keep you young don't they. Even though with my lot,I am exhausted by the time they leave.
We have had a really warm day today,but it's not a good forecast for tommorrow.

Hi everyone !!

I had a lovely reunion last night.....and we seemed to recognize most girls .
cause that's what we were 40yrs ago .!

All different shapes and sizes, but what a scream we had , looking at old photo's of our selves we were like school kids giggling away.
We did make a noise in the restaurant but everyone seemed to join in from other other tables !!

Now we are arranging the next one for next year !! Hopefully .

Its a bit better here today ....but the forecast is not good for tomorrow ,so I'm glad I did my washing today.

I hope you all send me snaps of yourselves, Mo & Jean has seen ME !!
Now I would like to see YOU !! LOL
Got the grandchildren staying tonight ,so I'm off the get their tea ready.

Oh Grace,all our lives can be boring at times. You must be enjoying your break away. How long are you away for this time? I am trying to remember,without looking back on the thread,wether you said you were in Herne bay or Whistable.
Do you go into Canterbury whilst you are down this way? The cathedral is lovely,and I love shopping there as well. Have you seen the ducking stool
along the high street,by the river.
Hi Sallie. Jean is so good at guessing what we all look like. She will have a shock when she does eventually get a photo of me.
I am having problems at the moment,it seems at the moment,that none of my clan have got a scanner,for me to be able to copy a photo to send.
One of my daughters,tells me she may have a way round it,so I will wait and see.
How lovely that your son came earlier,to see you.
I hope your friend gets on alright tommorrow,and the outcome is a good one.
Fingers and toes crossed for Jennie.

Hello Ladies,

Just having a quick look in to see if everyone is okay.

On my own at the moment, the young people are having a night out together -- and Alun has gone to his model railway club, so got a bit of time to myself.

Jean, you are right about the auburn hair ( going grey now ) and fairly short. I am 5ft. tall, use to be size 10 to 12, but the tablets that I am on have made me put on weight, so am now size 16. Not happy about that,
with being so short it make me look dumpy.
I haven't got a photo taken on my own, only with other people. Not sure if that will be any good. It's because I hate having my photo taken.

Mo, as you said I've been in my element having Richard and Christie here.
They came a day earlier, just rang and asked if they could come a day early, we were only too pleased to see them. So it's been great having them all here. Richard decided to treat Jennie and Michael to a night out, as they can't afford to go out very much.

My friend goes to see the consultant tomorrow--they'll tell her then, if she'll need any treatment. They did say that it looked alright, but of course they have to make sure. We are all hoping and praying that she won't need to have any treatment.

Jennie has had to have another blood test today, the hospital will let her know the result on Monday-- she goes to the clinic on Wednesday, anyway. At least we know that they are keeping a close eye on her.

I certainly hope that Debbie doesn't have weather like we have had today. At times we have had heavy rain with thunder and lightening, so keeping my fingers crossed for Debbie and her family.

Well it pored & pored all day .....but ....the SUN is out now !!!

Have not done anything exciting today ,just cooked a dinner and did some research.

I have a reunion tomorrow with girls that I worked with 40yrs ago so I guess we will have a lorra lorra Laugh's at trying to guess who we all are as we were all lovely and slim and so young....cant wait !! there are about 35 of us ....

Probably get throw out of the restaurant for being too noisy , so I will let you all know how we get on .

Hope you all are in good spirits even though this weather is enough to give you depression !!

Hi All, just back from a lovely time out with a girlfriend, a tasty pub lunch then a nice walk. I had the 3 youngest children with me. They don't mind coming if there is food involved.

Mo, I used to worry loads about the children and still do, but there is a very fine line between giving them space and being too over protective. Yes, I worry the whole time they are out of my sight, and most of the time I can see them, as well. But I have learnt that if I keep worries and concerns to myself, the the children are far more likely to tell me things and be honest and responsible, than if I question or worry all the time. Reverse Psychology, works all the time.

Just started raining here now, so made the most of the good weather.

Jean, how good do you think you are at guessing?? Well, I'm 5ft 4, blonde with more grey streaks than I would like. My Mum calls it "Salt & Pepper". I am a size 16, hankering after being a 12 again, but that will never be. I don't actually diet, and am happy with the way I am, though a lot of the excess is on my backside. You see, the thing is, that I don't actually catch sight of it very often, not like a stomach or other bits, so I forget it is there, until I try on something new and then I have a reality check. My hair is longer than it should be and I will get it cut after the holidays. I haven't worn it up for ages, and an old Aunt always wondered why people wore their hair long if they never did anything with it. I used to think she was mad, but am now tending to agree. I am 48 (just), so was an Older Mum when I started having children, though my 4 keep me feeling either a lot younger or totally knackered :-)))

Anyway, this will never get the dinner cooked.

Hello all ,
As usual I have been flat out. I managed to stay home to-day, but fitted in a driving lesson for my grandson and then dropped him off at work, he is a check out lad at Woolworths.
So Jean you are into the guessing game I wouldnt dare do that I'm sure I would get it all wrong, I am 5ft4ins blue eyes was a blond after 6 children I am now mousy and have grey hairs near my ears I ocassionly get a few streaks put in it and I have always worn it short .I will send you a photo later when my grandaughter gets home I always need help with that kind of thing.

Emily and Abbigail are back at daycare, thank goodness I do hope they stay well.

Mo, I re-sent (hyphen very necessary there) my ordinary email addy plus another invitation from that other website.

If anybody else wants to look at a website where you can add photos to the thread, I will need your email addy. The site is not as well set out as our previous one, but as my dad used to say, cheggars cant be boosers. You just have to learn (as I did) how to navigate around it and add photos.

Marilyn,I bet your body went into shock when you got off that plane. You had got used to lovely warm weather,and it had turned like winter here.
What a shame about your rosemary plant. I love the smell of it. The one that I had,I cut back but,I killed it instead. I am a brute where plants are,I
should have taken more care.
Debbie,you are so lucky to have a 13 year old at home,who is knowledgable about downloading things. I have to wait for one of my gang to come round,and then ask them if I have any problems.
My lord,pier jumping. Doesn't it worry you,it would me I am afraid. But then I am an old fusspot,and see problems where probably there are none.
I don't blame you going to the laundrette. I used to do that,when my five were young. It was the only way to get so much washing dry.

Sallie,Roly's hospital appointment is at the end of August. He is still waiting for the results on the exray he had done on his spine. But that's our N.H.S for you.

Well our Jean. This guessing about each others appearance. I should imagine that most of us,have got blonde to greying hair,apart from Debbie and Sue.
I am grey/blonde,about five foot two,size sixteen,but happy with myself the way I am. I don't really care to be honest,what others say about me. I used to always be on this diet or that diet,but not any more,people have to take me as they find me. Wether I am done up to the nines,or as usual
stuck in a pair of jeans for comfort.
I used to be a trim size 10-12,not anymore though. lol The menopause
has a lot to answer for.
Guess what this stupid fool did today. Huia had sent me her e.mail addy
and I did not recognise the name,sooooo I deleted it. It was only as it disappeared from my screen did I think to myself,oh lord that was probably Huia.
