Hello All,

Mo, hope all went well for Roly, and that you are feeling a bit better today.

Jean, so pleased that J is feeling so much better and that the wound has healed over. It will be lovely when you will be able to go on holiday.

Marie, you are doing really well with your weight loss. Keep up the good work! I hope your family are all alright.

Debbie, glad to see that everyone is well with you. Hope matthew and Daniel enjoy their time away - I'm sure they will though!
Just like you Debbie, I also enjoyed being a full time mum. As you say it certainly has it's advantages.

Speak to you all soon.

Best wishes,

Sallie.

Good evening all.
Well Roly is home, and the op is over. They have changed the system, since he had the other eye done. This time he had to have 17 different
eye drops in. The last time he only had 4.
It's a bit sore at the moment, but he did't go down to theatre till 4p.m,and came back out at 4.40. And we actually were back home by 5.30.
We had a really bad thunder storm, whilst he was in theatre, and I was afraid it would make him jump, I have a very vivid imagination, and I could
imagine the surgeon cutting right through his eye from him jumping, but he never even heard it.
Still no news on my grandaughter. I phoned my daughter, and she has not
heard what is going on either. Honest, kids. They don't realise how we worry about them. Mind you, she is nearly 22,so does not consider herself a child.
Oh Marie, you are never losing your marbles. You are as bright as a button, and twice as lovely.
Debbie,it's no wonder you are a bit behind with the account books. You have such a busy life, and a lovely family that you obviously treasure.
I hope the children enjoy their holidays. They have got nearly seven weeks off school haven't they? but I bet they really enjoy it.
It's such good news Jean, about J. I am really pleased for you both. You can get back to a bit more of a normality.
It is so nice to hear the smile in your voice, when you write on here. If you can understand what I am saying.
Hello to our Sallie,Sue and Huia. I hope you are well.
Thank you my friends, for all your kind wishes. Love to you all. Mo xxx

Hello, still quite warm here, although we are expecting heavy rain, Debbie you are so lucky having such great kids, lots of interesting activitys. a bit of good news about J. the nurses wont be coming after friday, he is now to attend our local clinic, the wound is almost closed and he is doing most of the stuff he used to do, like the h.......k lol, we are able to have a drive out now
and will shortly be having a look for a holiday.

Marie , you are doing well with the weight loss, thanks for asking about J,
funny how our children become the parents as we get older, but we still pay the bills !!!!

Mo, all the best for Roly and hugs for you , continuing in praying for your granddaughter and family....

Morning All
Oh, Mo, poor you what with your OH and Grandaughter both needing attention again. I do hope that things work out ok for all concerned. How is everyone else? Jean I hope that things are looking up in your part of the world. At least going walking is good for you and should help your swollen legs, though I do hope that they are nearly better by now.

All is well with us here, very busy as usual. I am trying to get all of our accounts and books up todate for the tax man. A job I really should try to do more regularly so that it doesn't become a last minute panic. One year I'll learn, but until then ........... One disadvantage of running your own business from home. Time management was never my strong point when I worked, so it's not likely that it will change too much now that I don't have to go into an office every day. I've been a full time Mum now for 13 years and loved every minute of it, so there are certainly loads of advantages.

All the children are well, Matthew is off to Austria on Fri for the week and Daniel is off next week to Guernsey, Herm & Sark, then back to Jersey for the Friday. It is their Activities Week. I wonder if other schools around an about do similar things. We had so many fantastic choices for the boys to do that they could do with a week like this for the next 10 years to get in everything that they liked the look of.

The little 2 are well. Luke has a Tag Rugby match today and then a tournament next Monday. He is so excited. They finish school on 17th, so are in permanent "Happy Mode" at the moment as not much gets done at this end of the term.

Enjoy your day.

Dear Mo, I am so sorry to hear about your granddaughter having cancer, I do hope they can do something for her, as Sally said if they have got it in time she will be ok, we will be all thinking and praying for her.
I do hope you get some relief from your warm weather I wish it was a bit warmer here in Bathurst,
I'm going to have a memory test at the aged care facilitys tomorrow,I would rather not know if I am losing my marbles but my daughters want to know if i am.
I wanted to do some gardening today but it was too cold, the exercise class was good today we did some polaties as well as the bikes. I weighed myself after my shower this morning I have lost almost a kilo, on thursday it will be water arobics which is nice as the water is warm.
Give Roly my best wishes for his operation on the 9th.
Hi June I hope you and J are well

Mo, just looking in to see how things are today. I hope you are feeling a little bit better today. It will be nice when you get tomorrow and Thursday over.
Much cooler here today, which is good for me. Not a lover of hot weather at all - Alun thinks I'm a misery, because he loves it.

I'll look in later to see how things are going for you, Mo.

Hope everyone else is okay.

Best wishes,

Sallie.

Hi All,
A bit late looking in - I've been trying to get some information together, for a distant cousin of Alun's, living in Australia.

Mo, I'm really sorry about your granddaughter, but they can do so much these days, so hope for the best. I know sometimes, it's easier said than
done. Lets hope they will see her at the hospital on the 9th. At least you'll know that she will be in good hands, and I'm sure they will get it sorted sooner rather than later.

You have quite a busy week Mo, with Roly having his eye done, and your granddaughter going to the hospital. I wish them both, all the very best

Speak to you tomorrow, try not to worry too much Mo,

Sallie.

Mo, you know that I am here to listen to you, so anytime you need to talk, you know where I am.

Yes Sallie it's been warm all day. The breeze has got up now though.
Do you remember,my telling you about my grandaughter, the one who had the cancer of the cervix. I am so worried about her again. She had another smear test,a couple of months ago,and they had not taken a big
enough sample,so she had to have it done again. The results have come back, and it's not good news. She is supposed to be seing the specialist,
on the 9th,but she has her monthlies due then,so I don't know what will be happening. I am not sure if she is on the pill,if she is,then I would think she could continue taking it,and prevent the monthlies.
I am afraid to say to much to my daughter,or grandaughter,as they are both going through so much stress at the moment.
Sorry girls, for laying this on you all,but I just wanted to get it of my chest.
Love to you all. Mo xxx

Hi All,

Marie, you're still doing well going to the gym, as Mo's said already, I wish I had some of your willpower.
Pleased to hear that you and your family are all well! Sorry that you are having such awful weather.

Mo, is it still hot down there today? It's sunny with a bit of a breeze here at the moment, although we had a shower of rain earlier on. It's a bit cooler, but still a bit too warm for me.

Speak soon.

Marie,If you google C.DIFF it will explain it to you. It's clostridium diffacil.at least I think thats how you spell it. It can be a killer in the very young,or the elderly. People start by thinking they have a tummy bug,but it far more serious than that.
You are so good sticking to your excercise,I wish I had your willpower.
I feel for you with your bad weather. We are in the middle of a heatwave here. Our problem is,we don't have it long enough, for us to get used to it.
So we moan about it. Mind you we moan when it's cold as well,we are just a nation of moaners really.
I am glad you are feeling better Sallie. Don't try to do to much to soon.
In this heat it will knock it out of you.
I will have to go and get a shower,as I have just finished my house work,
and the sweat is pouring of me.
Love and best wishes to you all. Special ~~~~~~~~to our Jean.

Hello all my friends, I havent been on for awhile as I have been very busy and our days are very short , the weather has been very wet and , freezing cold winds.
We went to the football yesterday it was so cold and it was sleeting, but today we had sunshine so I spent all day in the garden, it was lovely to have a fine day.
I am doing well at the gym not so fine with the walking I am ok if the walk is very flat but if its hilly the heart starts to thump.I do enjoy exercising, i especially like Polaties we dont do much of it we have been on bikes the last 2 weeks we do short sprints then ease off for 40 seconds then sprint for 30secs, apparently this is the best way to burn Fat, I dont know if it is working as I havent weighed myself.
June, I hope your Eye test goes well are you and J still walking
I had to get a hearing aid early this year for my left ear I have only had partial hearing in the ear since birth, I have found it very good and I dont even know that I have it in the ear as I have got into the shower with it on on a number occasions, but I do notice the difference in sound when I take it out.
We are all well here, and you all seem to be busy .Mo I hope Rolys operation on his eye goes well.
To Huia Crow, Deborah,Sallie and anyone that I may have missed Happy smiles to you all.
Just one thing before I go what is C.DIFF.???
Love to you all Marie from OZ.

Hi All,
Mo, you would think that your friend would have stopped at home, especially since she's had it for three weeks, surely she knows how contagious it is. I can't understand why her doctor didn't tell her to stay at home away from other people.
As you know, my doctor told me to isolate myself in case I had swine flu.
Although, I couldn't go out because I felt too poorly. But whatever I had, I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to have it. Especially, someone with health problems already. You have to show some common sense, and consideration for others.
First time out today, since last Saturday. Nothing exciting, just to Morrisons.

Marilyn, sounds as though you are having a lovely holiday. I bet you are really enjoying yourself with your grandchildren. You can have a nice rest when you get home - in the meantime, enjoy the rest of your holiday.

Sue, hope you have enjoyed your wedding anniversary. Did you enjoy your swim with your youngest, this morning?

Jean, did you and J enjoy your walk. Hope it was a bit cooler for you.
Alun walks too fast for me, so have a job keeping pace with him. I prefer to go with my friend, as we walk at the same pace.
Hope J is feeling much better now that he has been on the anti-biotics, quite a few days.

Debbie, did you all go to the Island games? Hope everyone is okay with you.

Marie, are you still going to the gym? I wish I had some of your energy.

Huia, hope you and hubby are getting along alright.

Well ladies, I think I've gone on long enough!

Speak to you all soon.

My best wishes to you all.

Sallie.

Mo, hope you and Roly enjoyed your Chinese Meal.

Hello one and all.
Sallie,my friends doctor gave her no advice. I googled all the info ,to protect ourselves. And the NHS,sent the same info to one of my other friends.
I spoke to the friend who has the C.DIFF,on the phone last night, and the silly moo,had been out to her local shop,to top her phone up. I was furious, and told her so.I asked her did she know just how contagious she is,and that she should NOT leave the house, till her doctor had given her the all clear. I felt so cruel in saying it to her, but, she must listen to what is being said, for others safety.
Oh Marilyn,you lucky thing,sitting by a pool,and enjoying yourself.
The chidren help you to feel young don't they. We all tend to forget our problems, when youngsters are around. Enjoy yourself my love, lifes to short not to.
Sue,I hope you are enjoying your anniversary. And that you have a lovely meal. Oh I take it that you will be having a meal, forgive me if I am wrong.
We also had a drop of rain, but not enough really,so will still have to water the plants.
Cor Jean, you are getting as good as Huia, with your walks. The weight will soon be dropping off you. It's good to hear that J is enjoying his walks as well.
Roly has just gone to collect our chinese meal, yummy I am really looking forward to it. No cooking for me tonight, that makes a change.
I hope Debbie and Huia, that you are both well.
Speak to you all again tommorrow. Love Mo xxx

Hello to all

Well we have had a small storm and a bit of rain today, which has left it nice and cool this evening.

The sun should come out tomorrow as it is my wedding anniversary, never known it not to be a nice day and it has been 22 years since we wed.
We are going out for the evening to a club where my OH bowls.
Taking the boys with us so I am looking forward to the evening.

Out in the morning swiming with my youngest .

Mo hope you dont catch anything from the doctor waiting room. I hate going to the doctors as i always seem to sit near someone sneezing over me.

Sallie glad to hear you are getting a bit better. Hope your shopping trip was not to hot for you.

Marilyn sounds like you will need another holiday to get over the one you are on.
Your grandchildren are lucky to have you to join in their fun,bet you love every minute.
We spent a lot of holidays with my MIL and my children got her doing loads of things she wouldnt have done if she had gone away with just her OH. She was always tired at night but would be ready to start a fresh the next day. My children have a special bond with her.

Huia, Jean , Debbie hope you are all well.

Bye for now Sue

Just looking in, thought there might be someone about.

Mo, I hope your friend will be alright. Did the doctor give her any advice on what she should do? She's had it a good while, you would think the doctor would have been more concerned. I know that good hygene will stop it spreading, not sure how long it takes to go.

I'll have to go and do some shopping - not looking forward to that.
As you said in your PM, Mo, it's so hot in places like Tesco's and Asda's,
and with so many people, it makes me very tired.

Hope, all of you and your families have a lovely weekend.

Love, Sallie.
