Hello All, Marie and Deddie, nice to hear from you, been wondering if everything was alright with you both, and your families.
Marie, it looks as though you are doing well at the Gym - you sound as if you enjoy going there. Keep up the good work!
Debbie, hope you had a good afternoon at the athletics - and hubby enjoyed himself at the little ones sports day.
Jean, a lady that lives down the road, has bad legs, and I know that the nurse goes there on a regular basis and one of the things she does, is take the blood pressure in her ankles. Take care! Hope J is feeling a bit better today.
Mo, hope all is well with you and Roly. Hope you are enjoying the nice weather.
Haven't heard from Sue lately, hope all is well with her!
Huia and Marilyn, are you both alright ?
Speak soon.
Good wishes to you all.
Sallie.

Well hello my cyber friends. It's good to hear from you all again. I hope you have a lovely time, at your brothers ordination Sallie. I do not mean to be rude, but what age is your brother?. My reason for asking is that,a very good friend of mine, had her grandson's ordination,a couple of years ago. And she said it was a wonderful experience. He has his own diocese now,as is doing very well. You are so brave doing your water aerobic's Marie. I dare not even think about putting a swimming costume on,all my rolls of flab would cause a lot of water displacement. And other people would not be able to enjoy their swim. Sorry it is so cold where you are Marie. We have had glorious weather again today, sun with a warm breeze,it's lovely. Mind you we are hundreds of miles away from our Jean, she's all the way up north. I can't understand why the pharmacy staff, did not take your calf measurements Jean. When I worked in our local pharmacy,we had to do the measurements, before we could order them,as they all come in different sizes. We measured the calf and ankle. No wonder they don't seem to be working for you. How did you get on with your hearing test? We were not able to look at the aircraft close up Debbie. They only did fly past's. When we go to Biggin Hill, the aircraft are on the ground,so people can have a close look at them, and sit in the cockpit of some as well. The most graceful aircraft, is an old B52 bomber,on the ground she looks awful, but get her in the air she is like a bird gliding through the air. She is not noisy, like most modern aircraft of today. In fact they made a film about her a few years ago. I hope the children enjoyed there athletics, and sports day. And that it was not to overly hot for them. We are going to our local forces day here,on Saturday. It is being held in the old dockyard. And will be attended by all the armed forces. The veterans, are marching up to the yard,so I do hope it's not to hot for them. We don't really want folk passing out on the march, bless them. There are a lot of events happening, this weekend commemorating the war years. We even have a Vera Lynne lookalike, doing a concert of her old songs. Love to you all, hope everyone is well. And a big hello to Huia,Sue,Marilyn and anyone else I may have forgotten. Mo xxx

Hi All, no, I haven't disappeared off into Cyber Space. Problems with the computer all over the weekend, and have been really busy since then. Athletics Jersey School vs Guernsey Schools all afternoon today, so thought I'd just pop in to say Hello before I get stuck on the track.
Oh, Jean, hope your weather improves. We are forecast the hottest day of the year here today in excess of 27ยบ. Not so comfortable though if sitting watching running. The little 2 have their sports day today as well, so hubby and I are off in different directions, in order to show our faces at both events. Lucky for me he works for himself and can afford to take time off like this.
I hope everyones ailments are improving with time, and that everybody is now on the road to recovery.
Mo, sorry about the air show. It must have been so disappointing. I remember going to Duxford a few years ago and there was a small display there, just by chance the day we went. It was an amazing place to visit. I would love to go back one day when all the children are older so that the younger 2 can appreciate it.
Anyway, you'll have to come to Jersey on 10th Sept. We have a fantastic air display here (free, but it would cost you to get here!!!!). I have just looked it up on the web and they are geting their act together with entrants. If you google "jersey international air display", there are a few different pages to look at. It is always a last minute thing as some planes have to pull out and others confirm entry at the 11th hour. But the whole Island goes into "Air Display Fever" for a few hours. It poured with rain last year but we all sat and watched it huddled under our brollies.
Not sure about the one you visited, but we are able to actually go on board some of the planes and helicopters, either at the airport or a static display on a park. So you can get very up close and personal (with the planes, not the pilots :-)))
Gotta go, sandwiches to make and I don't want to miss the first event. Speak to you all soon.

Just popped in to say hello!
Mo, sorry about the air show not being very good. The trouble is, that you look forward to going, thinking it will be a nice day out, and when it turns out to be no good, it's so disappointing.
Jean, hope J is feeling a bit better today. Once the anti-biotics kick in, I'm sure he will be fine. It also takes time to get over the operation. As you said Jean, ' take one day at a time ' - please give him my best wishes.
We are going down to Wales on Saturday. My brother is being Ordained as a Priest, the ceremony is taking place in St. Woolos Cathedral, Newport. I'm really looking forward to it!
Hope everyone else is alright.
Best wishes,
Sallie.

Hi All, I was wondering where everyone was- it's been desserted for a few days! Hope you are all alright.
Jean, so pleased to know that J has had his new anti-biotics at last! A few days and he should be feeling quite a bit better. How are your legs, hope you are managing to rest them as much as possible. Hope things are going along alright with your daughter. I am thinking about the three of you.
Thank you for thinking about Jennie. She seems to be alright on the new medication - she says that when she eats vegetables and salads she doesn't get any pain now - so that's got to be good to start with. The only side effect that she has had so far, is a bit of nausea for a few days, it just comes and goes over those few days. So I am really pleased about that. Hoping things continue to go along as they are.
Speak to you all soon, best wishes to everyone! Take care!
Sallie.

Sorry I have not been around for the last two days, girls. We went to the airshow yesterday. We arrived at 11a.m,only to find out that the display would not be starting till,3.30p.m. So we looked around the display stalls, but still had hours to kill. We were so dissappointed,a very poor show really. So we wont be going there again,in a hurry. Tonight our daughter took us out to dinner, along with our 17 year old grandaughter. It was a lovely meal,so now I am absolutely stuffed. I hope you have all had a good weekend. I am of to my bed now. So I will say goodnight to you all. Best wishes Mo.

It's me again sorry. I have spoken to Jean. And she would like me to explain to you why we have not heard from her, very much lately. As you all know,Jeans OH,had his operation not to long ago. And a few complications arose, from the wound not healing as it should. He has now got antibiotics, that are clearing up the problem, and he is feeling a lot better. So much so,he would like to take up his driving again. But, poor Jean has been feeling the strain of it all. And has been feeling a bit under the weather, with all the worry she has had. So when she is feeling better in her self, she will be back with us on this thread. I hope I have explained the situation properly to you all. Mo xxx

Hello girls. Well,we went to see the specialist, about Roly's eye. He is going to have the cattaract removed,on the seventh of july. The specialist said it would even, the balance in his eyes,as he had a cattaract removed in his other eye,not to long ago. And as he has trouble when trying to read,it will help him no end. He has the physiotherapist on the 2nd of july, and then his eye done on the 7th. What a month it's going to be,but I would sooner get him right than have it prolonged. He seems a lot more like his old self today, thank the lord. Welcome back Marie,it's always nice to hear from you. I hope all the little ones are better now,and that Abigale enjoys her party on Sunday. Are you going along,to enjoy the happy time.? There are quite a few Darts teams, local to me that I could join. I am good friends with a lot of the ladies teams around here. Hi to Sallie,Debbie,Sue, Huia and all our good cyber friends on here. I will p.m Jean tonight,to find out how they both are. It's strange not be hearing from her very often,we do miss her input don't we. Well my lovelies,I am going to do dinner now. Love to you all. Mo xxx

Hi Everyone, Hope you and your families are all alright, today!
Mo, how did Roly get on at the eye specialist? Hope the news wasn't too bad, and it's something that can be put right! Is there another darts team either in the town, or nearby, that you can join? It's maddening when they cancel the match at such short notice - bit of an anti-climax, really!
Marie, good to hear that Abigail is better, especially has it is her second birthday today! Hope the party goes well tomorrow, I'm sure you will all enjoy it. Not too much birthday cake for you Marie - think of how much weight you want to lose. I know how you feel, because I also need to lose weight myself. It isn't easy! Good luck at the Gym! Hope you can finish the cardigan for Emily next week!
Jean, we haven't heard much from you this week, I hope things are alright with you, J , and your daughter.
Huia, how are things with you and hubby? I hope the weather is a little bit kinder for you, as I know you enjoying walking. Mind, to say that it is summer in Britain, the weather here in Derbyshire, hasn't been that good. Today, it's cloudy and a bit on the cool side.
Debbie, Sue and Marilyn ( hope I haven't forgotten anyone ) have a nice weekend with your families. Best wishes - and take care everyone!
Sallie.

Hi All,
Thank you for aking Mo. Jennie is fine after her second lot of medication. She had the same monitoring, as she did the last last time - they look after her well - two hours while she's on the drip and for the next two hours. Of course, a lot of the staff know her now, seeing that she has been back and fore the hospital for over five years. She had to ring at 8-30 a.m. to let them know that she was able to keep her appointment, and they asked her what she wanted in her sandwiches for lunch, and if she wanted white or brown bread. Jennie says the sandwiches are really lovely - much better than when she's been on the wards.
I hope Roly will get on alright at the eye specialist, tomorrow morning. You can understand him feeling a bit down, what, with back problems and trouble with his eyes. I hope you will enjoy the airshow on Saturday, Mo - hope the weather will be nice for you.
Jean, how are things in your family? I'm sure that I read on one of the threads that J is 75 today! Please wish him a belated Happy Birthday from me! Anyway, I hope you've both had a lovely day.
Hope everyone else is alright.
Sallie.

Oh Huia,I had to giggle at your emergency rations. I would be the same as you,but the food would never make it back home,it would be gone before I got back. Greedy old me. Two hours walking Huia, arn't you good. Thank goodness you got in before the rain started. If it had been a heavy shower, you could have taken the washing outside and done it in the rain water. I hope parents evening went well Debbie. And I hope the muscles have eased of a little. What with you and Huia doing all this excercise,it makes me feel guilty at being a bit of a couch potato. Have you heard from Jennie yet Sallie? I hope she got on o.k. We had nice weather first thing this morning Sallie, but this afternoon it really clouded over. But I managed to get two lines of washing dry. I have to take Roly to see the eye specialist, tommorrow morning. He is feeling a bit low again today. His back's playing him up again. I feel sometimes, that I would like to put him in a sack, and shake him up a bit. We hope to go down to Margate,on Saturday,as they have got an airshow on for the weekend. That should cheer him indoors up a bit. We normally go to the Biggin Hill Airshow every year, but the prices have risen so much, that we have decided to give it a miss this year. And as Margates is free,it sounds more enticing. Speak again soon, love to all. Mo xxx
