Evenin all. I have temporarily got a list of Buckinghamshire Apprentices to London Livery Companies.(Pre 1840) So if you have a Bucks ancestor who you think may have been anything from a Brewer to an Upholsterer - I'll happily look to see if his name was on the list. ( Alphabetical )
(Obviously many youths were apprenticed to local tradesmen also) But Livery Companies do add a bit of cachet!

Paula, this is a very kind offer thank you. Not sure if it is indexed by surname, but I'd be interested in any with surname GOODCHILD from the Princes Risborough / Longwick area of Bucks. Let me know if you need more detail. Won't be around until tomorrow, but can let you have more info then if need be. Thank you, Helen

Helen: Only One GOODCHILD in any company:

RICHARD GOODCHILD Indentured 1686 to Tylers & Bricklayers Co.

From CUDDINGTON (So seems unlikely - sorry!) Bear in Mind, some companies records can be gappy Though.

thanks Paula, Cuddington only 5 or 6 miles as the crow flies and Goodchilds fairly uncommon so there may be a connection somewhere, thank you

Hi Margaret. Only one Reeve(s) - written like that. WILLIAM - Apprenticed to Tylers & Bricklayers in 1674. But he was from Buckingham. I have to say that in general, there is a dearth of Wycombe entries in any company.
