War Brides and Emigration to Canada 1945

Hi all, I am trying to find a Morena who may be related to me. Very tenuous at this point. However she appeared to marry a Paul E Haptings (could be Hastings mis-spelt on the records) She emigrated to Canada in 1945 after marrying him in Hampstead. I have looked at passenger lists on line. Does anyone have any advice as to any other sources I could use?
Thanks, Charlotte

Charlotte, try googling War Brides 1945 - there were special "Bride & Baby" ships to transport the wives and children of Canadian and American servicemen.

I have had a quick look but don't have the time right now to do a proper search for you - though I can try again later today.

Charlotte, I have had another look at the available websites. It seems likely that Morena actually went to Canada sometime between 1946-1948.
Find-my-past has the lists for War Brides sailing during those years transcribed - unfortunately I do not have any credits so am not able to look for you.
Sorry couldn['t be more helpful.
