Sorry Sue, didn't see your reply, looks like you are doing all you can. Thank goodness I think we are going to be one of the last areas to go digital here.

Hi Ann,

It's always worked before. We receive our transmission from the Preseli transmitter. I did a bit of digging earlier and the nerds guide says that it will take stations a while to reset their frequencies or some such.

I have returned a third time and now have HTV.

I will set aside 20 minutes each day to retune twice more.

What a pain.

Sue, according to himself you can check your signal strength yourself. (if you want to know more I will have to ask), he also said have you got the right aerial?

SueM I had to buy a new freeview box a couple of months ago, and then they decided the other week that you have to retune it to download new channels. What new channels?
And now the picture freezes or jumps, and every week I have to download these non-existing new channels.

Tell me about it, i bought a new TV for my bedroom as i wanted freeview..we already have sky on normal tele, when i came to tune it in all it kept telling me was "signal weak or no signal"

I called in ariel engineer thinking that i could just have a new ariel but no apparently the signal is very week in my area,so have had to go out and buy a freesat box and he is coming back tomorrow to put something on my sky dish.grrrrrrrrr.

Sue, has driven me nuts all day. We have sky in living room but I rely on TV in bedroom as I spend a lot of time in there...lol OH likes his freeview in the kitchen too.

So much for their seemless transition and extra channels!

Sue,

We have adigital in the living room and a smaller one in the bedroom.....livingroom one breaks up very, very often, the picture freezes...go and put the bedroom one on and no problem. I have now put all large sharp heavy objects out of the reach of him.

Don't have a third of previous freeview channels or even ITV/HTV. I have retuned two TVs twice.
