It was a lovely day earlier on, warm and hazy sun with a light breeze, now it is lashing down. The joys of an English summer!

Rain at last here!...but only a brief shower.

This part of the south east is parched with huge cracks in our dried-out back garden.

We couldn't help noticing all the lush green grass when we drove to the Midlands recently.Our local area has 'hay'.
There's always a bonus in any situation...Lol

Yes I suppose so Gwyn, the trees and shrubs are still lush in this area, a bit more of a balance would be appreciated though.

Yes, a balance would be good.
Our area was the first in the country to obtain Government approval for compulsory water meters.
It makes one think about reusing water if possible, eg. I boiled some eggs, then later threw the cooled water on some plants.
Waste not, want not..
