hi jill thank youfor your reply no i have not saved my tree to a offline family tree maker i did try once but could not load it all i got was error. i only have my tree on here and ancestry. as for the other doc,s on my desk top i am unable to get into them as my desk top is shutting me out of all sites that,s why i am getting a new one. msc

Is your tree saved to an offline family tree on your current computer?

If it is you should be able to save it and then transfer it across to your new one - along with any other files that you would need as well.

If you mean the one on here or some other website then yes - it's on a server somewhere and not personally on your computer.

hi i intend to buy a new desktop computer what i would like to know will i still be able to see my tree etc. onthe new one or will i have to reentre it all thank you. msc
