no one reading this on Chat - put it on here for the more discerning reader!!

As a traffic cop approached the car he could see the driver with a dog on the front passenger seat. As he neared the car he saw the driver strike the dog on the head - "What on earth did you do that for?" he asked

The driver replied "Because he just swallowed my tax disc

And was the driver fined for having an unrestrained animal in the front of a vehicle, cruelty to an animal and providing an inappropriate diet, and misuse of a tax disc.

By the way. What is a "tax disc"???

Welll you did want a discerning reader, didn't you??!!

Hi Michelle, I think we are the only one's awake. Do you know what a tax disc is?? Has it someting to do with toll roads. I would be sitting there with a container under the dogs backside if it were me.

Oh heavens. Is it the registration label for the car??? How did the dog get if off the windscreen.

Edit: Sorry about the delete. Just adding a bit of controversy to the thread.

I see you answered your own quetion AS. Our rego labels go in a pocket on the windscreen and could easily be got at by an animal exploring it's surrounding!!

You see I am a discerning reader. Still think a bucket under the backside would be a better option to hitting the dog on the head.

What on earth is wrong with GR this morning. I have to do everything twice. The website could not display the page. Internal server error.

I think the next line should be the traffic cop replying "I can wait!"
