Anyone had a mole removed?

7 years ago, I had a mole on my leg which turned crusty. The doc sent me to cryoclinic which freezes them. They sprayed the mole with an ice cold spray, no pain, well no more than an injection. They also did all my other moles, about 10 in total.

Two weeks later as I was showering they just fell off, leaving a pink mark, these disappeared over the next 2 or 3 months and I have had no probs since.

I had a mole removed from just under my eye when I was 21.It was done by a plastic surgeon under general.I had 17 teeny weeny stitches. It was my beauty spot lol.I still have a slight puffiness under the eye which I think I am the only one that notices and the scar from the stitches no-one notices that.
I'm 55 now.

Yup water off a ducks back - dont worry yourself. I am in a high risk category so had to have a lot removed when I was younger - you really cant feel a thing!! They spray the area first then give you an injection you cant feel because of the spray.

Most of them were so minor I dont remember them, but the worst one I had was very deep, although I couldnt feel a thing I could hear the sound of gristle being cut and could feel the blood dripping a few inches out of the numbed area but no pain - the scars are very small - even on the really deep one - less so than my BCG - If it needs doing get it done is my advice.

But these days most people have ipods - put that on so you cant hear anything if your allowed.

I had one removed that was sort of cauterised (think the proper word is "hyfrication" - a little like using a soldering iron so it gets removed but doesn't bleed!) with a local anaesthetic but I didn't have stitches or anything.

I've got a tiny scar, but it's very hard to see. It was about 2006 when I had mine done.

Thanks ,
Is my eldest and when we were on way home she asked what they did I havent a clue.

She did have choice whether to have it removed or not but thought better safe than sorry and chances are will have to be removed later anyway.

Yes Dawnie, mine wasn't too deep, local, cut, diathermy, 4 stitches and out of the surgery about 15 mins in total. Waited 10 days for the histology report and all was fine.

I had one removed quite a few years ago (12 or 15) and it was not bad at all, just a local anaesthetic, a couple of stitches and a dressing.
