Maybe you have it sorted out by now but if not phone again and ask to speak to a manager. Sometimes the person you get talks rubbish and a good manager should sort it out.

Thanks for that Merlin, I bought it online from B...s (as in chemist) and they are insisting it is Electrolux the manufacturer that is responsible for either replacing or repairing it. I paid for it on credit card so going to get in touch with them if it's not resolved this afternoon.

Seems to me that it is "Unfit for purpose" and should be replaced by the Supplier, (Assuming you did.nt buy Direct from the Manufacturer.)If not trading standards should intervene,don,t forget to add the cost of eating out ect. (Expenses) **M**.

This is the second time I've tried to post a thank you to Debbie, what on earth is wrong with this site I'm stressed enough. pmsl.

There is nothing worse when you by something and it is faulty, Expecially anything to do with the kitchen

I cant comment on how to word it as I always have the same problem

But when I have had problems in the past Ive phoned the Trading Standards and they tell what your right's are

Surely they should send you out a new one I would have thought as you have paid for a fully working oven not a faulty one

We are in the thro's of having kitchen updated bought new electric oven online from B...s hmmmm known as chemist. last Tuesday it was fitted didn't work phoned up retailer told we had to have engineer out to test it he came yesterday verdict faulty PCboard advised to ask retailer for replacement.
phoned B yesterday and they say we have to have it confirmed by manufacturer, it was their engineer who came out yesterday.

I've told them I'm getting in touch with my credit card company.

Please can somebody confirm that I can insist on replacement I have googled info from Consumersite but would like to know just how to word it when they phone back later this afternoon.

Just to say have had phone call to say that manufacturer will be intouch in 24hours to arrange delivery of new oven and collect faulty one.
