Do you mean you get a private message, in that case, click on reply and then submit when you have written it.

If you want to reply via a message to somebody on a thread on one of the boards click on their name then write your message and submit. I will send you a message and you can try it out, you will be notified in your e mail and/or by a white envelope at the top of this page by messages, you should then be able to click on the envelope.

If it's a response to a thread that you've posted or have added to then you can reply on the thread. Use the purple reply button at the top left of the thread. That way everyone trying to help will see your responses.

Margaret,

If you are completely new to computers, see if your local authority is running free courses for basic computer skills. From the title of the thread I am guessing you are a senior, if so you will probably get a course locally free of charge. It teaches you word processing, spreadsheets, etc., but don't be put ff by the words, its really basic but it is all you will need for using the web.

I did a free course a few years ago and it gave me all the skills I have needed.

Good luck,

Bernie
