As anurse in a small cottage hospital, we were used to having patients transferred to us from another hospital with terrible bed sores, but complaining to administration had no effect. I would have been glad to be informed if I was missing out essential care for my patient. |

When I was a nurse I enjoyed caring for my patients and having TIME to care. There is no TIME now.Nurses are chasing their tails the whole time.It is so wrong. |

There is a lot on the news about this at the mo, and also has been an article in the Take a Break magazine about poor nursing standards in some hospitals etc so do look and see where to contact to voice your views even if too late to help your loved ones, they still want to hear about it. I can't remember if there was something on the One Show too but there is sure to be lots of places to voice your opinions so you can influence future care standards. Sounds as tho there is to be a check made and better standards put in place. |

we had the same problem when my fil was in hospital with cancer in bristol , he was not treated very well at all , left in dirty condition,s the side ward he was in was filthy my wife had to clean it as for medication he was to have morphine every two hours which he did not get when we complaind was told he hasnot asked for it which would have been hard as her could not speak. did write a letter after he pasted on we never had a reply . it seems that they dont care if there is no hope of recovery. i know just how you feel am sorry for your loss. msc. |

Why was I too scared to complain or make an issue about the terrible care my mum received in KCH up to the time of her death. |
