Winter Drawers Ever Near

Winter Drawers Ever Near Report 28 Aug 2009 21:13

Just had a call from my daughter.

They went to the coast today and took the great mutt with them. His first time by the sea and he had a great time.

They were on the beach and the water was quite choppy. An elderly lady was in a real panic. Her terrier had gone into the water and the tide swept it out into deeper water.

Our dog went charging in the sea and got the terrier by the neck and brought it back to shore.

All that hydro therapy certaininly paid off. He was like a lifeguard on four legs my daughter said.

Extra big bone for him tomorrow when he comes to visit.

There are times when I could cheerfully strangle him as he has destroyed my garden.

Well what can you expect from a chocolate labrador.

He got mild hip dysplacia as he grew too quickly and didn't have a great deal of stamina. He's fine now and the hydro pool every week has worked wonders.

Doing what comes natural I suppose as his breed were used for fishing in the North Atlantic so ploughing into water wouldn't bother him.

I'll turn a blind eye tomorrow when he starts swinging on my grape vine!
