I can't find the thread I put up which told you all that I had written a letter after 25+ yearrs to my Uncle

I have been missing net for the last week other wise you would have known that on Wednesday I received a letter from my Uncle.

I was overjoyed ( better than a *** well forget that )

Anyway for all those people out there who wonder should they get intouch after 20/30 years I will say yes.
The return letter put a smile on my face

That's wonderful Uzzi - bet you're glad you wrote that letter. Was the letter all you hoped for?

Great news for you and massive encouragement for everyone else.
I hope that you and your Uncle stay in touch and make up for lost time. As the (BT?) advert used to say "It's good to talk"

It was good but the down side was I knew about my 'cousin' being born ( electoral rolls and all that, I did tell Unc that (proud that I knew ) ,
what I didn't expect to hear was he died in 2004 training for the marathon .
What a bummer but the rest of it was good.
They don't have a pc so I have to re-learn longhand and that isn't a problem because I loved getting a letter (rather than a dashed of e-mail )

So to all who wonder should they get intouch the answer is YES why not

Sorry about your cousin Uzzi x but glad you now have contact with your Uncle, and hopefully will lead to many more longhand letters :) I do like to get a 'real' hand written letter :)

What a dreadful shame about your cousin Uzzi, but I'm happy that everything else went as you hoped. (((X)))
