yes I have, but nothing tells me what year it started being called College Hill!! I just wondered if anyone knew anything about it. The earliest I have is 1666, that it was called by that name, but I dont know when it changed. thanks for your reply xx

Googled and found quite a lot of info. on there.

Former names : "Whytyngton Colledge," Agas, 1570.
"La Riole" (q.v.) (1303-4). "Paternosterchurchstreet," 1232 (Cal. Charter Rolls, H. III. I. 167). "Paternosterstret," 1265 (Cal. P.R. H. III. 1258-66, p. 468).

It was destroyed in the great fire of London and rebuilt.

thank you mau, i havent been able to find out just when it was called college hill though, it seems an ellusive bit of information! Thanks for looking though xxxxx
