You will probably have to go to the County Records Office or the Ecclesiastical Archives. Not many parishes keep records for more than a year. The CRO address in your county is:

Somerset Record Office
Obridge Road
Taunton
TA2 7PU

Telephone 01823 278805 (enquiries)

Not sure where the Ecclesiastical records would be kept I think it may be at Wells Cathedral.

Apart from that you may find what you want on the Mormon Site, they have transcribed a lot onto the Genealogical Index, (IGI). Its not 100%. The address is: http://www.familysearch.org/eng/default.asp

If you don't know how to search the IGI, come back to me for advice.
