Well, it's a long, long time
From May to December.
But the days grow short,
When you reach September.
And the autumn weather
Turns the leaves to gray
And I haven't got time
For the waiting game.

And the days dwindle down
To a precious few
September, November
And these few precious days
I spend with you.
These precious days
I spend with you.

*sighs.......

In years gone by it would be the start of the field fires, thank goodness that has all stopped.

Cyber harvest festival, I will just go and make the loaves in the shape of sheaves of corn!!!

Mauatthecoast Report 2 Sep 2009 16:52

We plough the fields and scatter
The good seed on the land,
But it is fed and watered
By God's almighty hand:
He sends the snow in winter,
The warmth to swell the grain,
The breezes and the sunshine,
And soft, refreshing rain.

.........carries in a pan of vege. soup........

What a splendid idea Merlin : ))

I love the harvest time . I've been gazing at the harvested fields in my area as we drive past in the car .

I have some bizarre shaped carrots from off the allotment to add to the cyber harvest festival and more beans than you can shake a stick at..........lol

Seems like the "Cyberfarmers" are rather shy at displaying the Fruits of their Labours. perhaps they don,t measure up to other things.**M**.:o)>
