we have 3 chickens one each for the children, tiddler has just asked me why we couldnt have chickens that lay eggs with writing on.

They are so funny.

I helped my grankids grow potatoes. At the weekend we tipped out their tub's. They were delighted with their tatties.
I decided as a treat I would make them some chip's with their home grown tatties.
After eating them the wee one..who is three said ,they werent his tatties....they were chips lol

No she did talk in her sleep and between her the dog barking to go out and the cat jumping on me didnt get much sleep lol.

they are a ll laying one a day at minute and have done for over a month now before that was 2 a day sometimes 3, will get less now its getting darker but not going to put light in their coop will let them rest think as they are ex battery they have had a hard enough time so deserve a rest

Two a day !!! blimey !!! Bless their hearts.

3 of mine are ex battery and lay one a day like clockwork.

The two originals that aren't ex battery are a tad lazier and lay every other day.

I won't be lighting the coop either......like you I believe the poor souls need all the rest they can get xx
