well I've started drying out my teabags and we have got lots of twigs and newspapers so I'll see how it goes. I'm looking forward to compressing the junk mail!

I've got a paper briquette maker - is this the same?
Basically fill it with wet paper and squeeze it so you end up with a brick shaped lump of soggy paper.
Dry it out and use on fire.
Never thought of adding tea bags - they go on the compost.
If I added twigs to mine, the 'briquette' would fall apart.

Hi Maggie no, I'm thinking of getting a briquette maker but thought it was wrong time of year to be drying out to much. The dry log maker I purchases after reading reviews on internet and basically it is a big log sized tube with plungerthat you can put waste paper, tea bags, twigs in and compact with its plunger. You initially wrap some newspaper round the outside of tube. I like the idea of making them and being able to throw them straight in log basket.

Oooh - yours sounds better than a briquette maker!
I need muscles like a lumberjack to squeeze the water out!
