Mangement, ugh!! just spent all afternoon doing it on line, cos on Wednesday when the others are doing it, I am on a communication course, !!

well,actually a member of staff requested to go on a communication course, and I thought I may as well have a refresher as well, so maybe my fault..

Oh Gillian,

what has age got to do with completing NVQs or any other learning.
Surely we are all learning all the time and staying up to date in whatever field of work we are in is imoportant and hopefully interesting.

I speak as a nurse who is in her 60s and I have a legal obligation to remain updated and have to keep all the evidence just in case the registration authorities want to see that what I say I have done has actually been undertaken and understood.

I know of people in the 80s and 90s who are still learning both on line and directly.

Hope I do not upset you by this message as that is not the intention, just wanted to say try to be positive about what is offered and if it isn't, in your opinion an effective course find other courses that you believe you would find helpful and then tell whoever arranges your training what you have found.

Anyway I am sure that you will enjoy the communication course especially as you asked to go on it.
