Lots of luck with it Kate, let us know how it goes.

Thanks, Ann - it's the write-up about the exhibition that's in. My work's up till the end of the month - it's only been up a week so far. Don't think anything's sold yet, but you never know! (I learnt this week that I'm terrible at hammering nails into walls . . .)

Well done Kate. Is your exhibition running or was that for the advert? If it is running how is it going?

Kate

Kate Report 6 Sep 2009 20:48

I've been in the local paper - twice! My exhibition got a mention in the "News from the Villages" column and another one in the Weekend section - my dad went out to buy a second copy today, and I think it's going to be sent to my aunty!

As I said before it is the little things that matter. Lots of nice things happening to people, puts all the aggro on here into perspective doesn't it? we all have lives outside of GR that bring us happiness.

It's been a busy week and tiring, helping daughter to move out of her hired flat. As she was back at work, I was chief cupboard cleaner, floor washer etc, but it's the next step to her moving into her own house which she is buying, while the prices are a little lower....So quite an exciting move for them.

My first was a phone call at 10.30pm from the young lady next door to tell me she had not told anyone else (she has no Mum) but she had just found out that day that she was expecting a baby.

second was also a phone call from my 8 year old gt. granddaughter to say, amongst lots of other stuff, that she had received a gold star for literacy. I was chuffed to little mint drops on both counts.

There no, there's something positive and nice, BC has planted pansies and violas today in her lovely little garden.

You should see it, it's beautiful, it really is.

Dear Ann in Glos

Hello

I went along to a lovely church service.

It was the "right time" for me to go to church and
curiously, the hymn played was "Be thou my vision", one of my favourites.

This just felt good.

Best wishes to all
xx

I have spent the past two days 'Offering' the contents of my house and garden on Freecycle.

Yesterday a young man and his girlfriend came to collect 4 dining room chairs. The doorbell rang and I could see the couple on the step through the window. They were so happy, smiling and excited.

This couple have just bought a home together and are gathering basics. Everything about them was beautiful, they radiated happiness and expectation. Remembering these two strangers has kept me going all weekend. I would like to think that everyone was as happy as they were.
