Sounds lovely TW, somewhere to go away from the hustle and bustle of life.

Well done Amanda.

Well done Amanda, it's not easy taking the corporate giants on sometimes, but to get that much off, brilliant!

Well, on Monday I decided to take a walk along the nearby river. I have lived in this area for five years now, but with the arthritis and so on , I've only really been able to do any real walking since my hip replacement 2 1/2 years ago.

I discovered a beautiful natural area which is protected as a site of special scientific interest, and though you can hear the main road nearby, you can also hear birds singing, bees humming and the breeze in the trees above it. And this is in a city! There are wild flowers, a river, trees, water meadows and a woodland. A proper haven in there.

I've just been down there again, taking the long way to the newsagent, and walked and walked. More people there today, people fishing, cycling and dog walking, but it was still lovely.

I have been doing battle with E.on about a gas bill for months now. This week I finally triumphed and they have knocked off £125 . The little person verses big business and I didn't let them bully me into submission .

I'm chuffed to say the least : ))
