My stepdaghter was feeling rough she phoned the NHS helpline and told what her sytoms were they said she had swine flu gave her a number to be able to collect tamiflu from the chemist .which she did and started to take it but got worse . my wife took her to the hospital this morning they say she did not have swine flu and should not have taken tamiflu . that has caused her kidney,s to fail. please take care and make sure you go to the doctors not the NHS help line . the up side to this that they found she has a heart murmmer (spelling) which we did not know about .

Hi. doctors have been advised not to see patients displaying symptoms. I was prescribed it 4 weeks ago via help line. doctor refused to see me. Symptoms got worse and Ive has two courses of antibiotics and steroids to clear BACTERIAL not viral (swine flu) infection

Perhaps the secret is: to go to the doctor and to not mention that you suspect the dreaded 'SF'.

MSC This happened to a young mum in Scotland, and she was mis- diagnosed with swine flu.

She unfortunately died of either heart failure or a heart attack,.
Seems they are diagnosing swine flu for most people these days.

Hope your stepdaughter make a good recovery. xx
