Hi Debbie, glad you got that one out of the way,my younger daughter is a dinner lady so that she can work round her kids day. Works at their school, too, which is handy.

Best of luck,Nina from mucky old Sheffield.

I did that job for three years when my son started school full time, I loved being with the littlies but some of the other dinner ladies who had been there forever, were really cliquey and snotty, especially when some of the Mums sent messages in to say how much their kids liked their new dinner lady and they were pleased at the way I encouraged them to eat more at lunch time.

My favourite memory of those days was doing up the kids shoes, I always knew when my roots needed retouching (I was very dark before I went grey) cos the kids would ask what the sparkly bits were in my hair lol They were my silver threads among the mahogany.....lol

Enjoy your time working with the children Debbie, it's the perfect job for fitting in with your own school age children.

Anyway the job is going well better than I thought as I have not worked for such a long time. still feeling my feet but I am getting there, feeling more confident every day as the children seem to be getting used to me being there.

So thanks again
