Try your local records office.
Mine were very helpful & found the building plans for my house from 1902.

Do you own your home? If you do, have you got a copy of the Deeds? They would give you so much information about the building and previous owners.

Our house isn't particularly old, but when we registered with the Land Registry, we were able to retain the original Deeds, and it shows when various people bought and sold the piece of land, before the house was built.

Good evening all. I have lived in this house for 18 years, I know that it must be over 100 years old, about 15 years ago the village had its 100th birthday. How do I go about finding out about the history of my house.
