I did,nt know there was that many its realy hard one this ,my g,g aunt was sent for by Queen Victoria she sent acarriage to bring here to the palace for her bravery in Indian Mutiny as she crawed over dead bodies to bring water to her husband,and shes buried with miltary honours,but i dont know her married name or when she died ,i only have her first name Mary,as her not sure if it was her mother or sister was interview by the newspaper and aletter sent it to me as im closer relation than her,so its like looking for needle in haystack

I know shes buried in Camberwell cementry but without aname i cant look for her,please is there anyone who can help

Go to www.lancashire.gov.onrl register free with them and you can access Times on line.

Ive had aquick look but it seems to be lancashire ,and my g.g.grandmother lived in Islington London,i know she was born in Amercia as her father was in the army but the whole family were in the army,if anyone would like to have alook at what i have been sent ,if you give me your email addy i,ll scan it and sent it to and see what anyone makes of it,would love to find were abouts in the Camberley shes is buried

ive just had alook i got the year wrong it was 1927 it dosnt give adate only the year,and it just says beside other information ,Interviewed by a representative of The Sunday Times ,Mrs Shaw had much to say about the changed condititions of army life,as she had military rercord that would be difficult to beat .she was the daughter,sister,wife and mother of soliders,and the lady above was my g.g.randmother,im closing down now my pc ,but will reply in the morning ,thank you

Have you looked at the site properly it isn't only Lancashire you just have to register with a library to get free entrance into the Times Archives.

I don't think the Lancs site has the Sunday Times - just the Times.

Why were they asking about it so long after the event? Why in 1927?
