Winter Drawers Ever Near

Winter Drawers Ever Near Report 10 Sep 2009 21:55

I've been feeding a cat for one of my elderly peeps. He's been there every time I call on her waiting for his breakfast, lunch and tea by the back door.

Since she has become immobile he has had to live outside but with a lovely warm and cosy house built for him by her son.

The day after I went on holiday the other week he has gone awol and not returned.

She is so worried I think personally as he was quite old he has expired or someone else is feeding him. I hope it is the latter.

If she had her mobility and could get to the door to let a cat out I would gladly buy her another. I'd even clean the damn cat tray out if necessary if it had to be house bound but she is worried of accidents.

I may broach the subject again at some point with her son. He comes in every day and does so much for her but I think the cat was her constant companion and she misses him like hell.

Tell me not to go there. Just another rod for my back!

strays cat comes and goes between both houses
mine and hers
though she usually sleeps at strays
but if she is out on a night and it rains
she comes here and cries on our garage roof
as she knows i will get up and let her in

i call her half a cat

mine sits outside the door now, waiting for me to open it....THEN he decides whether he's going to come in or not.

So I shut it and put the light out, that soon has him hanging off the window telling the neighbours he's a neglected cat and we don't care.

She's so superior Mo I'm amazed she charmed anyone enough to want to feed her tbh lol.

I think you're right TW........it would fit her down to the ground........

When we put the flea drops on her neck she doesn't *speak* to whoever did it for a couple of weeks (usually me cos she's OH's favourite lol) xx

PMSL, she waited for you to shut the door so she could yell for the neighbours to get the RSPCA for abandonment. Mine does that.

It was lovely to see her back .........we left the front door open all day and all evening........shut it because of the bleedy flies coming in.......and then she decided to make an appearance by hanging off the front door and yelling her face off lol.

Thankfully she's absolutely fine..........but I HATE this.....it's bad enough worrying about the girls out front without the worry of ungrateful cats on top of it all lol xx

NEVER getting anymore......they just cause me way to many extra grey hairs.

Our Eldest girl (only age5) went AWOL for 3 days........

The girls couldn't sleep through worry last night and went out after school knocking on doors asking for people to check sheds and outhouses.........

I was trying not to worry til day 5.....But failing.

She turned up half hour ago calm and healthy as you like almost sneering at us for fussing her !!!!!!!!

NO MORE...I love my cats to bits.......but give me a loyal dog any day of the week.......I'm determined not to put myself through this ever again xx
