Smell of hay.

Went to bed last night with the lovely smell of fresh turned hay in the air. The field behind ou bungalow has just been cut. Such a summery smell!

Awww Jean,that's brought back memories of my childhood in the countryside in Ireland...what a wonderful smell to go to sleep with! BCXX

Lovely, isn't it BC. Its so evocative, brings back memories of playing, courting, picnics etc.

We had spuds in the field this year - all we got when he picked them up was a load of dust over everything !
Maybe it will be time for hay this coming year, much nicer but a worry when it's baled up - some years yobs have started fires with it.
