Have you found your grandmother on 1911 census.?
If she kept the child, one would think that they perhaps lived in the same house, so mother and child might show together.

As a married woman, the child would normally take that surname, whether or not your grandfather was actually the father.
The natural father may also have gone to register the child though, in which case the couple could have presented themselves as married, and the child given that man's surname.

Finding them in 1911 would be the key, I think.

Is this the Malcolm Bonner Morgan who married a Helen M. Tyler in the March quarter of 1892?
I cannot see a Helen Morgan of the right age on the 1911 census, but there is a Helen Mary Tyler born 1866 living in Sheffield. Is there a Sheffield connection?

That sounds like Chorlton, which I'm pretty sure is a subsection of Manchester.

I can't seem to find her on 1911 census. Was she still using the surname Morgan at the time of her death or did she revert to Tyler? What is the place of death on the death certificate? Sometimes it is difficult to find people on the 1911 census because of mistranscriptions, but I will have another look,

So if she was carrying at the time of their divorce then the child will have been registered soon after or in the early part of the next year.have you checked births in her surname and her maiden name just in case she didnt want the child to have her ex husbands surname.
I would recommend checking the 1911 census for her

Still can't find Helen on 1911 census, but have found her husband. As I suspected we have a mistranscription. He is down as Malesdon, instead of Malcolm, Bonner Morgan. He has Helen May and Kenneth Malesdon (presumably Malcolm) with him and also Andrew Bennett Morgan and Louisa, who I assume are his parents. They are living in Edmonton. Will keep looking for Helen
