Ernest Henry Warr was born in 1899 in Islington, London, England He died 1960 in Southend on sea. can't find any Divorce
violet may was born 13th feb 1904 her mother was rosina maria giles her father was william samual skinner

If you have an actual birth date, we could look to see if it matches any of the death registrations for the many Violet May records.
We could then check that registration surname to look for possible marriage.

When did Ernest H Warr die ? there is one marriage in Surrey for a Violet May Skinner in 1969.
By the way do you know Karen who has her in her tree ?

Just looked on Ancestry and there are 345 registered deaths of a Violet May b. 1904, who died between 1984 and 2005.

She could have died alot earlier, of course.

Do you know when Ernest - the husband died?
Violet may have just walked out of the marriage - perhaps she had had enough of Ernest but was unable to take the children,
Unless they were wealthy, chances are they didn't divorce.
If she had walked out on Ernest because of another man, they may have married after Ernest died - and if she did remarry, she would have been registered under that name.

However, if Violet had left because of another man, and Ernest didn't die early, Violet could have just 'taken' the name of the other man, moved to a new neighbourhood and no-one would know they weren't really married, in which case, when she died, yet again it would be under the name she normally used.

when was Ernest born? sounds like she may have been sent away cos of some indiscretion did Ernest divorce her?

Violet and Ernest had children. One day in c1935, Ernest sent the children to a relative for the day. When they got back, he told them their mother Violet, would not be bothering them again.

has not been seen or heard of since. I Her granddaughter, has been searching for either a marriage certificate, or a death certificate for some time without any luck. I've looked also and not been able to find any clues as to what happened to her
Any ideas? Can anyone help at all?
