There we were, listening to an Irish singer ( Hotel lounge and friend of son's ) who decided to sing a heart wrenching song about a Father who had passed over ( will remember the song title some other time )

Well!....there was me, sobbing me guts out cos it was all about a son/daughter missing their father and all the good times.....and there was me daughter....sobbing 'her' guts out too......talk about 'Old Shep' It had nothing on this song.......Then when he had finished and our make-up was suitably in a 'right old mess'........I had a thought!.......'.Hold on a minute' says I.......'My old man was a right old so and so, and nothing like the one in the song. What am 'I' crying for?'........and what me daughter was sobbing 'her heart out for too....I have no idea......as I said to her.....'Your Father is upstairs' What are 'you' crying for?

Sheesh! some peeps!....eejits!

any psychiatrists out there...feel free to add

Luckily I have Fiona ( as if that ever works tsk)......but brain cells, it seems, are on the scarce side when it comes to a good old Irish weepy.......I think I will book the fellah for me wake....he was slightly younger than me, so might make it.

*Gets in the queue for piccies, lolol*

Did it go well, apart from runny make-up and maudlin' tunes..... were you stunning? How late was the bride and was she stunning too? Were all the men looking handsome?

Love

It was brilliant, the bride did look amazingly stunning and I looked wonderful :-))))

The weather was beautiful, couldn't have asked for better

just the right sort of mixture of people and things that went wrong to make the day interesting......will tell at a later date :-))))

I have just been sent the floral centre piece from the top table and it now adorns my dining table. :-)))

haven't sorted piccies yet :-))

edit:...the Irish sing song was later on when most others had left or gone to bed.....the dregs of the party stayed up much later to have more fun...daughters sang as did bar staff as did the Irish contingent....great fun :-)))))
